“It’s one of the most common things I hear from women before their boudoir shoot:

“I’d love to do it, but… I don’t look like a model.”

And honestly? You’re absolutely right. You don’t look like a model.
You look like you.

And that’s exactly who you should look like.

The myth of the “model look”

Somewhere along the way, we all got sold this idea that being photogenic means having a certain kind of body, or face, or confidence.
But being “photogenic” isn’t about what you look like — it’s about how you feel in the moment.

If you’ve ever looked at one of our photos and thought, “I wish I could look like her,” here’s a little secret: every woman in those images once said the exact same thing.

There’s no secret club of naturally perfect posers.
